Conditions of Sale for Tourism Holdings Limited - Experiences


The following conditions of sale only apply to the services provided by the Experiences Division of Tourism Holdings Limited.

RATES

  • All rates are quoted in New Zealand Dollars.
  • The retail rates set out in this website include Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 12.5%.
  • Requests for nett rates and/or commissions can be negotiated directly with the Sales Department.
  • Tourism Holdings Limited reserves the right to amend prices contained with these rate sheets at any time.  Any alterations will be brought to your attention as soon as possible.
  • Day Tours and Sightseeing prices are based on a per person basis.
  • The enclosed rates are valid from 01 October 2005 – 30 September 2006, 01 October 2006 – 30 September 2007 and 01 October 2007 - 30 September 2008..

 

PAYMENT AND CREDIT CONDITIONS
Tourism Holdings Limited requires payment in full prior to the delivery of services.

Prepayment Options
Payment direct by cash or credit prior to delivery of service at Tourism Holdings Limited owned operations.

1. Cheque, Cash or Bank Draft can be deposited directly into the bank account of Tourism Holdings Limited.  Details available on application.

2. Cheque mailed to Tourism Holdings Limited

Cheques must arrive a minimum of five (5) clear working days prior to delivery of service. Tourism Holdings Limited requires confirmation of the deposit by fax to the Accounts Department on +64 9 302 3223.

3. Payment by Credit Card
Notify the Accounts Department of your credit card details; card type, card number and expiry date.  Your card will be charged prior to delivery of service.

4. Telephone Banking
Arrange a direct credit transfer from your bank to the bank account of Tourism Holdings Limited via telephone.  Funds must be transferred 24 hours prior to delivery of service. Tourism Holdings Limited requires confirmation of the transfer by fax to the Accounts Department on + 64 9 302 3223.


CREDIT CONDITIONS
Operators may apply for credit with Tourism Holdings Limited Experiences Division by contacting the Sales Department.  Accredited operators may trade as per the following;

Tourism Holdings Limited will accept reservations and vouchers for supply of service from accredited operators.  Vouchers must state the following:

  • Name and address of voucher supplier
  • Date of issue
  • Passenger name or tour code
  • The exact number of fare paying clients (specify adults and children)
  • Booking reference
  • Details of service to be supplied by Tourism Holdings Limited
  • Nationality of travelling passengers

Accredited suppliers must adhere to the Trading Terms as referenced in the associated Credit Application forms.  Credit Application forms are available from the Tourism Holdings Limited Experiences Sales Department.

 

POLICY FOR ESCORTS/TOUR LEADERS/DRIVERS

  • A maximum of one (1) FOC admission/passage per 15 paying adult clients is allowed.

Requests for Agent Familiarisation trips and other special requests must be made in writing to the Sales Department.

 

BOOKING FEES/CANCELLATION FEES AND REFUND POLICIES

Great Sights Sightseeing Day and Overnight Tours
It is the responsibility of the Booking Agent/Tour Wholesaler to ensure that payment is collected for all confirmed reservations prior to the client’s departure and that sufficient funds are held at all times to cover any cancellation fees.
Amendment:  No fees will apply to the first amendment or modification to a confirmed booking.  All subsequent amendments will incur a fee of $25.00 per booking.
Cancellation fees will be levied relative to the amount of notice prior to departure as follows:

More than 42 days prior to departure

$70.00 per booking administration fee                                                                

41-7 days prior to departure

=

25% of booking value or $70.00 administration fee
(whichever is the greater amount)

6-2 days prior to departure

=

50% of booking value or $70.00 administration fee
(whichever is the greater amount)

1 day prior to departure or later

=

100% of full booking fee

  • The fees outlined above will be levied in addition to any applicable amendment or cancellation charge that may be applied against confirmed tour or supplier services provided for by Great Sights or any contracted supplier.
  • No refund will be made against client failure to report prior to tour or service departure or against services that are included in a tour or services operated by a supplier under arrangement with Great Sights and are not utilised after departure.
  • Claims for refunds due to circumstances beyond the control of tour operators, service supplier or a client must be submitted in writing to Great Sights no later than 30 days after the date of tour completion.
  • It is highly recommended that clients adequately insure themselves against cancellation charges and the possible loss of money or personal baggage.

Milford Sound Red Boat Cruises
Milford Sound Red Boat Cruises reserves the right to charge when groups or clients do not report for a confirmed service and do not make cancellations prior to cruise departures.

Kelly Tarlton’s Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World
‘No Show’ fees (100% of booking value) apply for non-arrival of pre-booked tours.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves
‘No Show’ fees (100% of booking value) apply for non-arrival of pre-booked tours.

The Legendary Black Water Rafting Company
‘No Show’ fees (100% of booking value) apply for non-arrival of pre-booked tours.

Milford Sound Fly and Cruise
Failure to reconfirm bookings will result in cancellation.  All flights require a minimum number of passengers to operate.


RESERVATIONS

Reservations can be made by fax, phone, email or via website 24 hours, 7 days per week. 

Reservations must clearly state

  • Passenger name(s) - please include surname, first initial and title
  • Specify adults/children/preschooler pax
  • Age of each child/preschooler
  • Dates of travel
  • Tour codes (if applicable eg. Great Sights)
  • Agent reference and agent code
  • Full pick-up and drop-off details (if applicable eg. Great Sights)
  • Mehtod of payment
  • Nationaility (optional)
  • Any special requirements (eg. Vegetarian meal, vision/hearing impairment, mobility difficulties)

Reservations will be returned quoting a reference number to show that the booking has been confirmed.  Please quote this reference number on all future correspondence.
